Diesel Boutique came into being when supermom Madi’s world changed after her son Diesel developed autism almost overnight after getting his 1-year shots. It was an everyday struggle for weeks, not sleeping and trying to prevent him from hurting himself, it was rough, to say the least. Finally, it got to the point where she had had enough and she started to google cures for Autism. From that point onwards she has never looked back and started researching continuously. Madi and the entire family including her two adorable boys eventually changed their complete lifestyle and diet to 100% organic and did away with all chemicals in their lives. It wasn’t overnight, but over the course of eighteen months her son showed no signs of Autism. He is now a normal everyday boy.
Madi thanks God every single day for His blessings and His guidance. This story is also the main reason behind establishing her shop. If it wasn’t for their lifestyle change she would have never started a business inspired by the natural things. She has made all-natural things a part of her life and her son is her inspiration. That’s why she calls her shop Dieselboutique. Madi’s philosophy is pretty much just keeping to whats natural if man-made she tends to avoid it, but if it was created in nature she embraces it with everything in her soul. She likes to be in nature, to breathe fresh air and drink clean water, the things that seem to sadly be diminishing in society. Gardening is her true passion and she loves to create adornments with her own bare hands. Along with it she also enjoys bringing forth little green lives with her hands, things she can eat and share with others knowing it is in its whole food, non-GMO form.
Creating is what actually keeps her calm, putting together beautiful colours and combinations of materials. Her mind is racing with inspiration constantly and every single day she creates new things. Madi is a self-taught artist, she designs things taking inspiration from nature. Just on a whim, she spends a lot of time looking for striking natural colour combinations from exotic birds and tropical plants. It takes her anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours depending on the project she is working on. Initially, making things it was difficult and working with wire was her biggest challenge but now she has gotten used to it. Even though, her hands still hurt after long hours of wrapping.
Madi has many interesting upcoming projects at Diesel Boutique. She is currently working on lots of seashells and ocean-inspired pieces for summer and a whole lot of new colourful headbands and ear cuffs. She also plans on venturing into new resin jewellery pieces with fresh wildflowers and plants from her local area.
