Ma Earth Botanicals Hand Crafted Soaps Shower Gel. Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very happy new year and I pray for your well being and for peace in each of our lives. Everything in life can be counted as a lesson and not a mistake, it just depends on how we perceive it. The last year allowed me to embark on a new journey as I started blogging in the hope of striking a chord with like minds. In the process, I came across Ma Earth Botanicals, a brand that makes natural beauty products that are both chemical and cruelty-free. While reviewing the products, I went on with my usual research and the research led me only to more research and forced me to question the authenticity of most of the brands I had been using daily and the hazards of the ingredients used about which I was quite unaware of.

For a completely healthy life, it is mandatory that we not only consume nourishing food and lead active lives but also use products that are as natural as possible. My deepest gratitude to all the people who have joined their hands to not only make our lives healthier but also make the planet safer for other life forms. This was the first time that I have used a natural handcrafted soap and I am already singing its praises. So, let me tell you a little bit about these beautiful natural soaps –

1. JoJoba and Neroli Soap

All of their handcrafted soaps are made using the traditional cold process method. The cold-pressed bars are made using natural plant-based vegetables, nuts, fruits, herbs, cold-pressed oils, whole grain oatmeal, honey and pure essential oils. All the soaps are cured for a period of 6 weeks before they are hand-wrapped and sent your way. This soap has a creamy texture and will work wonders on dry parched skin. It feels wonderful on the skin as after wash and the skin is not washed off of natural oils. Instead, the skin feels supple and moisturised and you are all set to go out with happy healthy skin. Jojoba oil has excellent moisturising properties and it is used not only on the skin but also used as a hair oil almost everywhere in the world. The Neroli oil has many therapeutic qualities including calming effects. The best part is all the ingredients are natural and contain no chemicals. One little issue I had with the soap was that I did not like the odour of the bar too much, keeping in mind the fact that I had to be rubbing it on my skin while taking a hot shower.

Ingredients used are – Aqua, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Elaeis Oleifera (Palm) Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Citrus Aurantium (Neroli) essential oil

2.Kaolin and Ylang Ylang Soap

Kaolin clay or China clay has very good detoxifying qualities. We are all aware of how clay cools the skin and calms it but along with it, it also takes care of excess sebum and impurities. This is the reason why it is recommended for all skin types. Ylang Ylang is another essential oil we all need to get our hands on atlas once. It not only has a calming effect on the mind and body but it also maintains emotional and spiritual balance.

Ingredients: Aqua, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) oil, Bolus Alba (Kaolin) clay, Sodium Hydroxide, Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang) essential oil

3. Lavender Glycerine Soap

This soap was something like a nice piece of a shiny rock. Fresh smelling and lathering just the right amount, this soap lasted me the longest. Lavender has calming and sedative properties and is also a wonderful oil for fighting stress and anxiety.

4. Coconut Lime Shower Gel

230 ml – Rs. 675 and  500 ml – Rs, 1275

This is one of my favourite products from Ma Botanicals and it is also one of their first products I used. The very first thing about the product is the scent, the smell is so yummy and irresistible that you have to remind yourself often that it is not an edible item. Another great aspect of the product is that it gently cleanses leaving your skin slightly moisturised. Both coconut and lime oils are blended together to create a product that is eco friendly and affordable at the same time. We all know how nourishing coconut oil is and lime has an invigorating essence while vegetable-based glycerine helps rejuvenate skin. However, the most important feature is that it is free from SLES, Parabens and Petrochemicals.

Ingredients – Distilled water, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocomide MEA, Cocomide DEA, Glycerine, D-Panthenol, Polyquaternium-D, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Methylpropanediol, Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) essential oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) essential oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) essential oil, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) essential oil
