Art Enthusiast, Graphic Designer, Ladyprenuer, Craft Junkie and Freelancer
The month of April marks the onset of Spring and new year for many different regions of the country and I happen to be welcoming it ardently from creating a cleaner website to getting a fresh beautiful logo. Let me take a moment to introduce to you the logo designer of Beauty Sprinkles who worked tirelessly with me for the past few weeks – Anastasija Lagusnika.
Based in Latvia, 24-year-old Anastasija’s connection with arts and crafts dates back to the time when little Anastasija was introduced to the world of arts and crafts by her family. The tradition of making hand made Christmas cards for friends and family along with her mother and her younger sister instilled into her the love of hand made items. Growing up, Anastisija was always the first to participate in any project or contest involving arts and crafts. A life without arts and crafts would be uninspiring for her, unimaginable to say the least.
After completing her 3-year course in graphic designing, Anastasija was on the lookout for a regular job and after a while decided to work online. Her research led her to a great number of freelancer websites that also offered different design competitions. Even after winning her first logo design contest only after one month of working as a freelancer, Anastasija was still astounded by the fact that she could now earn just by working online.
Anastasija was aware of the Etsy Community but lacked the courage and strength to go ahead and explore opportunities of selling worldwide. Finally, after a year of working as a freelancer, she opened her first Etsy shop. Initially, sales did not pick up but this time around with more hope and a little more confidence Anastasija continued to grow her craftsmanship. Today she receives many orders each month with even long term clients coming back to her again and again.
What makes Anastasija’s work remarkable is that she tries to be unique with every client and continues to work on it until the logo and design appear perfect enough. For her, there is no such thing as a specific number of revisions, it is a unique and a custom process for everyone. Simply put, it is not even a job or a task for her. It is, in fact, a pleasure for her that she could help someone and help them especially with something she truly loves. For her, a perfect day is seeing her clients happy as a result of the process of working together.
Mainly at Milly Design Store, Anastasija creates custom logo designs as well as a full brand identity but this year onwards, she has decided along with her friend to launch a new line of projects where buyers would be able to find hand-drawn cards and invitation and more inspiring items to make their celebrations and parties more perfect and unique. Presently, they are working only on the printables collection, but soon they will be offering printed designs as well.
Let’s us take a look at some of the most artistic creations of this young talented designer –
