Meet Marina Kachan from Siberia, a stay at home mom, wife, artist and an engineer. After the company she worked at as an engineer shut down, Marina decided to pursue the career of a teddy artist. She started the Teddy Room seven years ago and has been a teddy bear artist for the last seven years now. The very first teddy bear Marina made was for her mom and it has been living with her ever since. Later, she began a custom to make wedding teddy bears of brides and grooms. Marina found it very interesting to choose their costumes, creating a bouquet of flowers and other wedding details. Creating her teddy bears gave Marina an immense amount of pleasure and joy and after a while the couple she made teddy bears for requested her to make a baby teddy bear. Today, Marina’s teddy bears live all around the world.

Marina’s family helps her in everything she undertakes. Her husband takes beautiful shots of her teddy bears and is the technical support of Teddy Room and Sofia, Marina’s two-year-old daughter loves hugging the bears. Handmade has given her the ability to stay home with her daughter throughout her childhood which is of prime importance to Marina. She can now plan her working day the way she wants. The Teddy Bears have also given her a great opportunity to travel. She is independent of the office and can live in different countries and create her teddy bears.

They are our friends and partners that follow us through our life, reminiscing the joyful event and support at difficult times. Marina Kachan’s Bears are made in accordance with Teddy technology by a one of a kind master pattern developed by her. She uses only the highest-quality materials, as Schulte, Helmbold Mohair, Noble Plush or Viscose, glass eyes especially for her teddy bears and they are at least five-way jointed. She creates them with great love, so each of them has a special part in her heart. Marina does not stop innovating when it comes to the creation of Teddy bears. She constantly improves the patterns and processes of creation and dreams about continuing to make her bears and to have a big workroom someday.

When watched closely, you will see how the teddy bears are different from one another. There is an immense amount of hard work and time dedicated to detail. The eyes, mouth and the paws of the bears are intricately woven and the eyes give the teddies almost a lifelike feeling. Parts of the teddy bears can be moved according to the way you want, so you can place them however you wish to.
